DeKalb County firefighter dies at fire station

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A nine-year veteran firefighter with DeKalb County Fire died at a Stone Mountain fire station early Wednesday morning.

Officials said Barry Everett, 42, died Wednesday morning at fire station #25 on the 7100 block of Rockbridge Road SW.

Police and a medical examiner are aware of the death, but officials said it's too early to determine the cause of the firefighter's death.

"We ask that you continue to keep the family of Master Firefighter Everett in your thoughts and prayers," DeKalb County Fire said. 

Funeral and procession arrangements haven't yet been announced.
