DeKalb County townhome fire sends child to hospital

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A fire overnight in DeKalb County has sent one child to the hospital.

Officials say the fire started a townhome community on Rankin Street in Stone Mountain.

In all, one unit had fire damage. Ten other units had smoke and water damage.

The Red Cross is helping 15 people who were displaced by the fire.

The child who was transported to a local hospital is being treated for smoke inhalation.
