Deployment ceremony in East Point for U.S. Army Reserve members

EAST POINT, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A group of local Army Reserve soldiers is heading overseas after an emotional sendoff over the weekend. 

The 335th Signal Command is being deployed to Southwest Asia.

More than 70 family members and guests were in attendance on Sunday in East Point to say goodbye to their loved ones. 

These service members will be away for more than a year.
