Deputies: Body pulled from Lake Allatoona

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities in Bartow County said they have recovered the body in Lake Allatoona on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bartow County Sheriff's Office said a fisherman spotted the boy in the water near the Interstate 75 overpass around 1:30 p.m.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy on the body.

The name and cause of death have not yet been released.
