BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A warning from the sheriff of Barrow County.
Authorities said they confiscated drugs disguised as candy purchased through the mail from California. However, those same narcotics break Georgia's laws. And just by looking at the candy, and even tasting it, a child might not know the difference.
Sheriff Judd Smith said his deputies, along with the postal inspector, seized drug pops (lollipops) and gummy bears as well as other items.
They went into a residence in Bethlehem with a search warrant and arrested David Lawrence Anyanwu.
He has been charged with trafficking.
