Deputies: Domestic disturbance leads to marijuana bust
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - A domestic disturbance call led to a major find for the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said 30-year-old Douglas Hazelrigs threatened to kill his mother on September 7, but when officers arrived at his home, he was gone.
His mother told deputies he had probably gone to a nearby home on Hummingbird Way.
At that home, deputies found a four-foot-tall and a nine-foot-tall marijuana plant.
Both were growing in plain sight.
Deputies arrested brothers Michael and William McGuoirk, for those big pot plants.
Officers also found Hazelrigs hiding in a shed nearby.
