Man in custody, woman on the run after standoff at Douglas County home, deputies say

Barricaded man taken into custody

Douglas County authorities say a man who was barricaded inside a home was taken into custody following a standoff with SWAT.

Two people have been charged following a police standoff involving a barricaded man in a Douglas County home Friday morning.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home in the 6800 block of Old Bueller Road in Lithia Springs around 4 a.m. after a report of a domestic dispute.

Deputies said the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team was called out after learning 31-year-old Noah Baker was barricade inside with firearms and possibly wanted on a parole violation.

After obtaining a search warrant, the SERT members made entry into the home and found Baker hiding in the attic. 

Deputies said the team not only found those firearms but also found about 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine and about 3.1 pounds of marijuana.

An additional arrest warrant was taken out for 31-year-old Crystal Patrick for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Anyone with information on Patrick's whereabouts is asked to call the Warrant Division at Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 770-942-2121.
