Douglas County deputies make massive meth bust

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - A traffic stop ended in a major drug bust in Douglas County on Monday. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said they seized 13.4 pounds of meth and made an arrest.
Deputies said a driver, later identified as Melvin Fairman, was pulled over along Interstate 20 near Tyson Road. Investigators said Fairman consented to a search of his van by deputies.
The meth was found hidden in a box in the back of a van, according to deputies.
Investigators estimate the meth to have a street value of about $250,000.
