Douglasville city councilman dies unexpectedly
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Mike Miller, an attorney, and Douglasville City Councilman passed away unexpectedly Monday morning.
Miller, 46, suffered a stroke during a city council meeting in October. He was receiving treatment in the hospital until his passing Monday.
Miller was known as an avid outdoorsman, devoted husband, and community advocate, according to his life-long friend and law partner, Chris Wynn. 'We can't thank the community enough for the thoughts and well wishes during this time' Wynn told FOX 5 News.
Wynn says he is working to continue the work of his longtime friend and colleague through the practice they held together downtown.
Final arrangements have not been announced, but they are expected soon, a family spokesman says.
