Driver in custody following Clayton County chase

JONESBORO, Ga. - One person was arrested, according to police, after a chase in Clayton County Tuesday.

Jonesboro Police said they attempted to stop a vehicle around noon near Highway 138 and Tara Boulevard. The driver took off and officers chased him into nearby Riverdale.

Eventually, officers forced the driver to veer off the road into some bushes.

Police said the man tried to run, but officers quickly caught him.

The driver’s name and charges have not yet been released.
