Escaped Alabama inmate found in Floyd County
ROME, Ga. - Police caught an escaped inmate from Alabama across the Georgia line in Rome.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office in Alabama said Jimmy Blair took off from his work release job Monday morning.
They said he stole his boss' work truck and drove to across state line to Floyd County where he was eventually caught.
He is charged with theft, being a fugitive, and probation violations.
Once back in Alabama he will face even more charges.
