Escaped Cobb County inmate captured

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies in Cobb County said an inmate who walked off a work detail Thursday morning is back behind bars.

Christopher Shane Pruitt took off from Fuller Park on Robinson Road at around 11 a.m., according to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said authorities caught up with Pruitt after receiving a 911 call about a suspicious person in the 1600 block of Wildwood Road.

Pruitt was in jail for a probation violation and theft by taking a motor vehicle. No word yet on any additional charges.
