ATLANTA - A 10-month-old baby is recovering from a shooting where Atlanta police say the boy was grazed by a bullet.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Sunday evening on the 2600 block of Fairlane Drive in southeast Atlanta, police say.
A woman at the scene told she and her children were in front of their home when a car pulled up and at least one person inside the vehicle opened fire on the home.
The Atlanta Police Department said the shooting took place on Fairlane Drive in SE Atlanta. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
A 10-month-old boy was the only one hit in the hail of bullets with one of them grazing the baby's ear. Police are thankful that the child's wound was non-life-threatening.
The woman told police the gunman was believed to also be a child. She said there may have been more people involved.
Authorities are still working to understand the circumstances that led to the shooting and have not released any information on suspects or arrests.
Unfortunately, this 10-month-old marks the 24th child shot in Atlanta this year.
