A Delta flight flying from Philadelphia to Atlanta was bringing home a fallen soldier on Thursday, and the crew and passengers took time to honor the service member.

There was a military escort on board, and a passenger on the plane, Jeff Arsenault, sent FOX 5 the pictures so we could share the story. Arsenault said they were told they were a soldier killed in the Mississippi military plane crash earlier this month.

"Will everyone please stay seated to allow military personnel to exit the plane, we have a fallen soldier that is returning home," a flight attendant said, according to Arsenault.

Arsenault ended his Facebook post by saying, "My thoughts and prayers are with the soldier and the family."
