Thousands of people will be in Atlanta this weekend to watch the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship and football fans wasted no time getting into the spirit.

The Dr. Pepper SEC Fanfare opened Friday afternoon at the Georgia World Congress Center with food, activities, and giveaways for the whole family.

"You don't have this in every city and so we had to take advantage of it," said Brian Russell, who brought his son Bryson to enjoy the festivities.

The teams in this game may not be playing far from home, but the matchup has garnered a lot of national attention because it is a rematch of the College Football Playoff National Championship from earlier this year.

"I think Georgia's gonna win, but like last year Georgia almost got them," said Chance Barnett, 8.  "This year, I just hope they win."

SEC Fanfare is open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
