A 26-year-old man sustained dozens of gunshots when local and federal officers came into an apartment looking for him.
Authorities claim Jamarion Robinson had a gun in his hand and refused to come out. His family and an attorney met with media to ask for an explanation on a number of points.
For one, they say the force used was unnecessary as 76 bullets struck the man. The family also contends the reason the federal fugitive task force sought Robinson stemmed from a case of mistaken identity.
Robinson's mother met with district attorney Paul Howard. He acknowledges he is waiting for answers from federal officials concerning the case.
A protest is planned for Saturday morning in downtown Atlanta.
