Family of man tasered to death by deputies asking for answers
COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - The parents of man who died after being tasered by Coweta County deputies said they want to know more about the night their son died.
Kevin and Mary Ann Sherman had just returned from the Dominican Republic where they celebrated their youngest son's wedding.
They said their other son, Chase Sherman, had a bad reaction from synthetic marijuana. And when his conditioned worsened, they called 911.
The audio from that 911 call has now been released.
The family’s attorney, Chris Stewart, contends Chase was murdered,
The family wants the Coweta County District Attorney’s Office to release the body camera video from those two deputies.
But the district attorney said they cannot release the video right now, because they are currently reviewing the case.
The family said they want those deputies off the street and charged with murder.
