A Buford mother of two has been missing for 17 days and her family worries something bad may have happened to her.

"The odds that my daughter took off voluntarily with no intention of ever contacting her kids are about the same as me being able to fly across this parking lot. I promise you she didn't do that," Keith Reed, Tosha Herron's dad.

Tosha Reed Herron was last spotted in Lavonia. Her father said she was on her way to Blue Ridge to spend the weekend with a friend.

Monday the family handed out fliers in Gainesville where they say they've gotten numerous tips from people saying they've seen Tosha.

"We've run down every possible lead that we get," Reed says.

Tosha's car was found down a cliff on Blood Mountain a few days after she was reported missing, but Herron was nowhere to be found.

"I had to get down on the ground beside the car thinking my daughter would be in the car," Reed says. "With the amount of blood we found in the car, we have reason to believe she survived the crash and made it out of the car."

Her family has received a tip that she may have been spotted in the Gainesville area.

A missing person’s report has been filed in Gwinnett County.

"I think it's worse than death. This is worse than torture, worse than misery. We don't know where she is but we know where she's not and that's at home with us," Reed said.

Anyone with information about Herron is asked to police.
