COBB COUNTY, Ga. - A grieving family made a plea for the public’s help after a father was gunned down in front of his children.
Larry Grigsby was driving near the entrance of West Park Apartments in Austell when he was shot and killed. The 42-year-old crashed his car into some nearby trees after he was shot. Police believe his children were in the backseat of his Chevy Trailblazer when their father was shot, and when he drove the car off the road.
The children were not harmed.
Grigsby's family drove in from Tennessee Monday to make a public plea begging for any information in connection with Larry's death.
The victim's cousin, Charles Pratt, spoke to FOX 5 News on Monday, “He didn't move down to Georgia to be murdered and slaughtered like this. He wasn't that type of guy. So we just want some answers. Somebody knows what happened and we want to know what happened. We need answers. We're in pain right now.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cobb County Police Department or Crime Stoppers. A $2,000 award is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
