Fatal crash reported on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive NW in Atlanta

ATLANTA - A deadly crash is under investigation in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive NW, near Peyton Road SW, in northwest Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Police Department. 

The incident was reported just before 10:30 a.m. on Monday. 

Police report that the crash involved two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla and a Ford Focus. 

The 27-year-old woman driving the Corolla died at the scene.

Two people in the Focus, an adult driver and an infant, were rushed to an area hospital. 

The crash is under investigation by the APD’s Accident Investigations Unit.
