Firefighters respond to blaze at InTown Suites in Norcross
NORCROSS, Ga. - Firefighters surrounded the InTown Suites Extended Stay along Buford Highway in Norcross on Wednesday afternoon.
The dwellings are just north of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. According to Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services, firefighters were called out shortly before 5 p.m. to the scene and found flames shooting out the bottom floor of the split two-three-level hotel. The flames had spread to nearby bushes and shot up to the roof.

It took a little over a half hour to get the blaze under control using several lines spraying water on the flames.
The complex was evacuated completely.
Atlanta Gas Light and Georgia Power were brought in to disconnect utility service.

About 50 people were displaced. Red Cross officials are assisting those residents.
A Georgia Department of Transportation camera shows first responders blocking at least one lane of southbound traffic along Buford Highway.

There are no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
