Firefighters: Two injured in Fulton County apartment fire

Fire officials are investigating a fire at an apartment complex in Fulton County Tuesday morning. 

It happened at the Westwood Glen Apartments located in the 1200 block of Fairburn Road. Firefighters responded to the complex around 6:30 a.m. after a fire broke out in one of the units. 

Two people were inside the apartment when the fire started and said they think it began in the kitchen. Both tenants were injured with burns to their feet. One was taken to the hospital, according to firefighters. 

The fire happened in a building that had four units. Two of the apartments were completely destroyed, and two sustained water damage. 

Officials said about six to eight adults were displaced. 

Firefighters are investigating what caused the fire.
