First pop-up bike lane opens in Atlanta

ATLANTA - The first, temporary one-way bike lane popped up Monday in Atlanta.

The protected lane will provide a direct and safe route for bicyclists and e-scooter riders to get from the BeltLine to Peachtree Street.

This temporary lane will connect to existing bike lanes on each end.

Earlier this month, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced these temporary lanes as part of her plan for safer streets.
