Former MARTA administrator pleads guilty

A guilty plea from a former MARTA administrator who filed fake invoices costing the transit authority more than half a million dollars.

Jhonnita Williams, 47, worked for MARTA from 1999 to 2017.

Investigators said Williams and her supervisor created more than 40 fake maintenance invoices authorizing payments to three vendors.

The vendors then funneled the money back to two employees.
