Former mayoral candidate throws support behind Bottoms
ATLANTA - They were once political rivals, but now they are on the same team.
Former mayoral candidate Kwanza Hall said Tuesday he will go to work to help Keisha Lance Bottoms become Atlanta's next mayor.
Hall is the first of the defeated candidates to offer his support for one of the two candidates still vying for mayor.
Before the election, Bottoms got a big endorsement from Mayor Reed.
Bottoms faces Mary Norwood in a runoff election on Dec. 5.
Norwood received endorsements from the Georgia Police Benevolent Association, the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, and International Brotherhood of Police Officers Local 134 Atlanta chapter.
