Former President Carter cutting back on Sunday school teaching
ATLANTA - Former President Jimmy Carter announced on Friday that he plans to start cutting back on his Sunday school teaching in a few months.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Carter said the former President and his wife, "will continue to attend Sunday School and church at Maranatha when they are in town."
The 93-year-old will still welcome those who visit the church in Plains, Georgia, to take pictures with him and his wife.
Carter officials did say that the former President's teaching schedule will still be posted on the Maranatha Baptist Church website.
