FOX 5 viewers: something fell from the sky overnight

FOX 5 received calls from all over north Georgia overnight from people who saw something streaking across the sky.

It appears to be a meteor or comet, but no confirmations yet.

We started getting calls, emails and reports about the mysterious object around 2:00 a.m.

"I just witnessed a large meteor/ fireball burning up through the atmosphere," said FOX 5 viewer Michael Goss on Facebook. "Huge bright ball with several fragments trailing behind. Probably lasted around 20 seconds moving towards the NE sky. Pretty awesome experience!"

There have been no reports of injuries or damage.
