ATLANTA - A trip to Paris for the holidays sounds magical, doesn’t it?
Well, we can’t coordinate a flight to France — but we can point you in the direction of a new place here in metro Atlanta that truly embodies the flavor of the City of Light.
This morning on Good Day Atlanta, we got an exclusive first look at Brasserie Margot, the newest culinary concept inside the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta. Executive chef Jon Novak — who grew up traveling around Europe and most recently led the kitchen at Tiny Lou’s here in Atlanta — says the menu features fresh, seasonal ingredients in a mix of modern and traditional French cooking techniques. That means finding classic dishes like steak frites and foie gras prepared with some surprising flourishes, in a kind of "old-meets-new" philosophy which Novak says he’s excited to share.
Meantime, you can’t have a French-inspired culinary concept without fresh-baked bread and pastries, right? That’s where executive pastry chef Eric Snow comes in, delivering day-long delights including house-made baguettes, breakfast pastries and coffee, and a tableside dessert experience. Ashish Sharma — the hotel’s restaurant and bar GM — leads the Brasserie Margot bar program, which includes cocktails and a lengthy wine list.
