Fake jury summons issue scams woman out of $1.1K
Scammers used the woman's former maiden name, birthdate and address to trick her out of $1,100. She says they even tried to get her again.
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Criminals are scamming people out of thousands of dollars by calling them and saying they have missed a Fulton County court appearance. They tell their victims they need to pay up or go to jail.
One woman is out of $1100 just before Christmas because of their convincing calls.
She spoke to FOX 5 and broke down how the scam got her once but would never get her again.
