Sankoh, along with 16-year-old Jaylen Mumford and 18-year-old Jerrett Mumford, were killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night.

Sankoh's mother, Khadijatu Sanko was in tears as she told FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor the 18-year-old was very devoted to his family and her best friend.

“He was a loyal boy. I don't care what time of the day I call him, I would say ‘IB, can you do this for me?’ He would run and do it... any quick kind of errand," she said as she wept.

Sankoh was enrolled at Atlanta Metropolitan College and loved food, football and family. His good buddy, Jerrett Mumford was also in college. His older sister and brother talked with FOX 5 News about their loss.

“God doesn't make any mistakes. He makes no mistakes. It is a loss for all of us, but we will get through it. We have a lot of support as you see we have a huge support system from Alabama State, to Banneker and our neighbors in the surrounding area,” Jernee' Mumford told us as she hugged her only surviving brother Jerrell, who is also a student at Alabama State University in Montgomery.

Alabama State University President Gwendolyn E. Boyd released the following statement Monday regarding the death of their student, Jerrett Mumford.

"The entire Alabama State University family is saddened by the loss of freshman student Jerrett Mumford. Each student at ASU is special to us and we know that Jerrett will be greatly missed by his family and on campus. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues.  We give thanks for his life and the vitality he brought to our community. May we forever find ways to keep his memory alive.”
