Funeral services held in Roswell for LSU freshman
ROSWELL, Ga. - Funeral services were held Tuesday morning for a Louisiana State University freshman from Roswell who died last week.
Police are investigating Maxwell Gruver's death as a hazing incident. Preliminary autopsy results show the 18-year-old had so much alcohol in his blood, that he suffered swelling of the brain and lungs.
His loved ones describe him as a kind and generous young man. Family members said he was majoring in political journalism and was excited to begin his career.
Gruver was a graduate of Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell.
His funeral took place Tuesday morning at St. Peter Chanel Church in Roswell.
