JACKSON, Ga. - Georgia's official weather prognosticator, a groundhog named General Beauregard Lee, has a new place to call home.
The groundhog moved to Dauset Trails Nature Center in Jackson, Georgia, where the Groundhog Day tradition will be carried on with an official ceremony next month.
On February 2, General Beauregard Lee will predict if winter is here to stay or if spring is just around the corner. The event will take place at sunrise.
Groundhog Day will serve as Gen. Beauregard Lee's official debut at Dauset Trails Nature Center. He used to live at Yellow River Game Ranch.
Fingers crossed he doesn't see his shadow!
