Georgia first lady Sandra Deal honored
ATLANTA - Georgia's first lady was honored for her work to improve literacy rates in the state.
The Georgia Literacy Commission and the Share the Magic Foundation recognized Sandra Deal in a ceremony Thursday afternoon at the Pinnacle Building in Atlanta.
The group also heard from experts about the activities and initiatives in Georgia in the past year that are impacting the literacy problem.
Also discussed, the literacy commission's plans for 2019 legislative season.
