Legislation to move Georgia to new electronic voting machines has cleared a second hurdle.

The House committee approved the legislation Thursday afternoon, just hours after it was given the "OK" by a subcommittee.

The move comes after seven hours of testimony over three days.

Under the proposal, voters would make their selection on a touch screen and then get a receipt to check for accuracy.

The bill now goes before the full House for a vote.
