Georgia murder suspect awaiting extradition from Alabama
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A murder suspect captured in Alabama in was waiting Wednesday to find out when he will be extradited back to Georgia to face charges.
Police said James America drove from Birmingham to a Duluth home where his ex-girlfriend lived.
Investigators said he shot and killed the man who opened the door and then drove back to Alabama.
Police in Birmingham captured America just a few hours after he arrived back home.
