Georgia received grant to combat human trafficking

ATLANTA - The U.S. Department of Justice has awarded Georgia a multi-million dollar grant to combat human trafficking.

First lady Marty Kemp along with Justice officials made the announcement Tuesday at the State Capitol.

According to the Justice, the grants total more than $150 million dollars.

Officials said the grants will also help law enforcement investigate and arrest human traffickers and help human trafficking survivors.
