Georgia State University receives largest donation ever, major improvements planned
ATLANTA - Georgia State University has received its largest donation ever—an $80 million gift from the Woodruff Foundation.
According to the university’s student newspaper, The Signal, the funds will support major infrastructure improvements on campus.
One of the most significant changes involves the demolition of Sparks Hall to create space for an expanded amphitheater-style area and a revamped arts and humanities building.
The university plans to complete these projects by 2026, aiming to enhance the campus experience for students and faculty.
