Gift bags delivered to children, roses for mothers at Children's
ATLANTA - A special delivery for the patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding.
Tuesday morning, volunteers with Kids on the Move for Success and students from Canby Lane Elementary School personally delivered gift bags and lunches to the young patients.
The visitors also handed out roses for patients to give to their mom's since so many had to spend the Mother's Day weekend in the hospital.
Organizers said the event was about giving back and making sure every child knows they're cared for.
Antoinette Tuff founded Kids on the Move for Success in 2013, just weeks after she managed to prevent a tragedy by convincing an armed gunman at McNair Discovery Learning Academy to lay down his weapon.
