FDA panel says decongestants don't work
The leading decongestant used by millions of Americans looking for relief from a stuffy nose is likely no better than a placebo, an FDA advisory panel said. Emory University's Dr. Neil Winawer breaks down the panel's findings with Alyse Eady.
The truth about decongestants: Dr. Winawer appeared on Good Day Atlanta to talk about decongestants. The FDA recently said that phenylephrine, which can be found in many over-the-counter cold and flu medications, does not work. Instead, the FDA says Pseudoephedrine, which is found in Sudafed, is highly effective in helping people with stuff noses.

Contractor says JJ Wilcox hasn't paid bill
The NFL veteran and former Georgia football standout still owes a landscaper for work almost a year after he went to court over the matter. The FOX 5 I-Team's Dana Fowle looks into the lawsuit.
Former Falcon still owes landscaper: A college standout and former Atlanta Falcon was ordered by court to pay a landscaper for work. It's been almost a year since they went to court and J.J. Wilcox was ordered to pay for a nearly $50,000 backyard job by Accomplishing Interiors. Although Wilcox has paid for some of the work, he still owes and the business owner, Chris Pettite, he is not responding. Wilcox also did not respond to FOX 5 about this issue.

A star-studded evening of live music and tributes is coming back to FOX tonight with the Academy of Country Music Honors. Singer and songwriter Carly Pearce is returning as the host for the third year in a row, and she chatted with Joanne Feldman about country music's biggest night.
