A police officer in Morrow was a bit shaken, but thankfully uninjured after investigators said a car lost control and struck the rear of his patrol car Wednesday evening, the Georgia State Patrol said.

It happened around 9:50 p.m. along Interstate 75 in the southbound lanes at the Jonesboro exit. GSP troopers said the car that struck the patrol unit overturned.

The officer was not injured but was taken to Southern Regional Hospital to be checked out. The driver of the second vehicle was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, but their condition was not immediately known.

The names of the officer and the second driver were not released.

Georgia State Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
