Gwinnett County police release photo for HomeTowne Studios murder suspect
NORCROSS, Ga. - Gwinnett County Police are looking for 21-year-old Jay Dante Crump from Peachtree Corners.
Police say they believe that Crump shot and killed 28-year-old Dareese Ellis from Peachtree Corners on Tuesday at the HomeTowne Studios in the 7000 block of Jimmy Carter Boulevard.
Officers responded to the motel at around 5:45 p.m. and found Ellis' body. Detectives interviewed witnesses and believe there was some sort of altercation between the two before the shooting.
Crump was last seen leaving the area on foot. He is 6-feet-6-inches tall and about 220 pounds. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Felony Murder, and Possession of a Firearm During a Felony. His current location is unknown.
