Gwinnett County Police searching for package thief

DULUTH, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police in Gwinnett County are looking for a suspect wanted for package theft and check fraud.

According to police, the suspect was able to use a key to steal packages and letters out of a USPS mailbox on the 4000 block of South Berkeley Lake Road two times, on Dec. 2 and Dec. 9.

On both times, police said the unidentified man was in the passenger seat of a silver Ford Focus, and it appeared that the suspect had white USPS boxes in the vehicle's trunk.

One of the items stolen was business checks, which investigators say were altered and cashed in metro Atlanta.
