Henry County man sentenced for child molestation
HENRY COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Locust Grove man has been sentenced to life after pleading guilty to multiple counts of child molestation.
Officials say 35-year-old Gabriel Ahmed was arrested in 2017 and charged with one counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation.
According to police, Ahmed had sex with a girl who was under the age of 16 in an area of woods behind a home in McDonough, Georgia.
At his trial, the child victim took the stand and told the judge that Ahmed had "taken advantage of her."
“This man preyed upon this child,” District Attorney Darius Pattillo said. “The child and her family are satisfied that he will spend the next three decades in prison and be a registered sex offender for life."
A judge has sentence Ahmed to life with the first 30 years served in prison. He will also be registered as a sex offender and can not have any contact with the victim.
