PEORIA, AZ - High school can be really rough. So when some senior girls went back this year, they wanted to send a message of encouragement. And they literally did it with Post-Its.
Arriving extra early on the first day of classes, they posted 3,000 sticky notes all over the school. Each had a different message, like “smile,” “be confident,” or “be brave.”
The girls wanted to do something to make a difference at their school- and to let everyone, freshmen to teachers, know that there are people out there who care.
The students said, “People should continue to stay positive and know that there’s people out there who love you. No matter what you’re going through, there’s always something that you can find in the brighter side of things.”
And if someone’s going through a hard time, they simply want to make them smile.
It’s a small gesture- but wouldn’t it make the halls of your high school better? Anyone can do it. Why not “be inspired!” and spread a little cheer?
