Deputies: Men caught with stolen items after chase

A high-speed chase ends with the discovery of more than $100,000 in stolen merchandise in the suspects’ vehicle.

A high-speed chase ended with the discovery of over $100,000 in stolen merchandise in the suspects’ vehicle in Coweta County. 

Deputies say all three men in the car were from Texas.

What we know:

After the driver admitted he didn’t have a license, he apparently didn’t stick around to find out what happened next. The body camera video shows him taking off down Interstate 85.

The chase that followed took deputies through downtown Grantville at over 100 mph.

Texas men captured after chase

Timeline:

The pursuing deputy tried to perform the PIT maneuver. The video shows the car leaving the roadway and then the suspect abandoning the car on foot.

One of the men was captured quickly by Grantville Police. Infrared drone video shows another of the men running through the woods. With a drone in hot pursuit, police were able to surround him and take him into custody.

Jason Hill, Brandon Everett, and Lendric Ferguson are facing felony charges. Deputies say Hill was driving and faces additional charges.

Deputies say they made a surprising find in the car. Along with drugs and a stolen gun, they found over $100,000 in luxury items connected to the burglary of an Atlanta social media influencer. 

What's next:

The men could be facing more charges in Atlanta. For now, they are locked up in the Coweta County Jail without bond.

No word on their next court appearance or if they have retained legal representation.
