HIRAM, Ga. - Police are searching for the person who opened fire on a 26-year-old following the Paulding County High School graduation.
The shooting happened about 5 miles south of the school following the graduation. Hiram Police say officers responded to Country Club Drive in the Creekside Golf and Country Club subdivision and found the person suffering at least one gunshot wound. They were flown to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police say a black Chrysler minivan with Georgia tag CGA2114 was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting. Investigators have released a photo of the vehicle driving along Camp Creek Parkway SB shortly after noon.
The Hiram Police Department and Paulding County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
Anyone who sees the vehicles is asked to call 911 immediately.
