Home Depot Backyard opens at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

ATLANTA - The new Home Depot backyard outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium officially open Tuesday.

Arthur Blank, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Home Depot's CEO were on hand for the ribbon cutting.

The 11-acre green space will be used for tailgating and game day events for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United.

There's also a playground and a space for fitness classes.

Officials said it will have limited infrastructure there intentionally so it can be a flexible use space. They hope to also use it for concerts, reading in the park, and even yoga.
