Human remains found identified as missing Georgia man

Human remains found last year in the City of LaGrange were recently identified as a missing man from the area.

The LaGrange Daily News reports LaGrange police Sgt. Robert Kirby says the man was identified as Johnny Redden, by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab. Redden would have been in his 50s.

It is believed Redden went missing around 2016.

The remains were found in January 2018 by a group of ATV riders, who saw what they believed to be human bones.

At the time of the discovery, police estimated that the bones had been there for quite some time, likely more than a year.
