Hurled rocks smash vehicles on I-20

It was a very close call along Interstate 20 as large rocks were hurled at passing cars late Tuesday.

Drivers believe the culprits were hiding in the bushes along the interstate. They told FOX 5 they were traveling east when the horrible surprises happened.

They veered off the interstate on to the MLK Jr. Drive ramp.

Many drivers stopped at the parking lot of a nearby gas station to wait for police. The damage ranged from smashed windshields to gouged paint.

At least 7 cars were in that parking lot, all damaged.

Police said no one was injured.
