Husband arrested after deadly Buckhead condo shooting
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A man suspected of gunning his wife down at a Buckhead condo complex has turned himself in to Tennessee deputies.
The gunfire rang out around 1 a.m Wednesday at the Roswell Court Condominiums on Lakeland Drive.
Witnesses told FOX 5 that they heard a shot being fired, then a woman scream, then more shots. When officers arrived, they found the victim already dead. Police have not yet released her identity.
Detectives think the shooting took place in the complex parking lot, but say the events leading up to the shooting may have started inside one of the units.
After an investigation, Atlanta police identified a suspect as being the victim's husband, 38-year-old Walter Milsap, and secured a warrant for his arrest.
Hours later, Milsap turned himself in to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee.
He is set to be extradited to Atlanta to be booked in the Fulton County Jail.
